Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
Datant LLC ("Datant", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our websites, apps, software and consulting services (the "Services"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and inquiry details: name, email, phone, company, job title and the content of messages when you contact us, book a call or request a consultation.
- Account details: such as email address, name and sign-in identifiers when you create an account in one of our apps.
- Content you submit: files, text, settings or other information you enter into an app or service.
- Support requests: information you provide when you ask for help.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser or device type, operating system, app version, pages or screens viewed, and timestamps.
- Diagnostics: crash reports and performance logs used to keep our apps working.
- Permissions you grant: if an app asks for access to features such as camera, microphone, photos, location or notifications, it collects that data only after you allow it, and only for the feature described in the permission prompt.
Information from third parties
- App stores and payment processors (Apple, Google, or our web payment processor) send us purchase confirmations — for example product, price and status — but not your full card details.
- Scheduling tools (such as Calendly) send us the details you enter when booking a call.
2. How we use information
- to provide, operate and maintain the Services, and to create and manage accounts;
- to respond to inquiries, deliver consulting engagements and provide support;
- to process purchases and prevent fraud;
- to keep the Services safe, secure and working, including debugging and abuse prevention;
- to understand usage and improve our products;
- to send service-related messages and, where you've agreed, occasional updates you can unsubscribe from at any time;
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
3. How we share information
We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers that process data on our behalf under contract, such as cloud hosting and databases (for example Microsoft Azure or DigitalOcean), email delivery, crash reporting (for example Sentry), scheduling (Calendly), payment processing and app stores (Apple, Google), and AI model providers (for example Anthropic) when an app feature uses AI.
- Other users, when you choose to share content with them in an app.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, legal process or to protect the rights, property or safety of Datant, our users or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
4. Cookies & analytics
This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. Pages may load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them, and links to third-party sites (such as GitHub, LinkedIn and Calendly) are governed by those sites' policies. If an app or site uses analytics, it will say so in its own policy or in-app.
5. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: account data while your account is active; inquiry and consulting records for the length of the business relationship plus the period required for legal, tax and accounting purposes; and diagnostic logs for a limited time (typically 90 days). When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or US state laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- data portability;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we don't sell or share it);
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We'll verify your identity before acting and respond within the time required by law (usually 30–45 days). You can also turn off device permissions (location, camera, microphone, photos, notifications) in your device settings at any time.
8. Deleting your account
If an app offers an in-app "Delete account" option, you can use it at any time. You can also request deletion of your account and associated data for any Datant app by emailing [email protected] from the email address linked to your account, with the app name in the subject. We'll confirm the request and delete your data within 30 days, except information we must keep for legal, tax, security or fraud-prevention reasons.
9. Children
Our Services aren't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Some apps are for adults 18+ only. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. International transfers
Datant is based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for transfers.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the relevant app or on this site.
